Dr. Deborah Pinkston

LPC, PhD

Debbie has been in the field of counseling for over 21 years and works with women, men, and couples. She has a special interest in serving pastors, missionaries, and their families.

Dr. Pinkston has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Psychology and Counseling. She also has a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and enjoys helping couples communicate and connect more effectively. She has worked with survivors of trauma and abuse, and has compassion for those dealing with medical trauma. She also has experience in the area of parenting adult children.

Debbie was a Baptist missionary in Venezuela for 24 years where she worked in the field of counseling and had a part in establishing two children’s homes. She would say that her heart is still in Venezuela. She is fluent in Spanish and is pleased to serve Hispanic clients in NWA.

In addition to counseling, Debbie is a professor for Liberty University in their Master and doctoral program in counselors. She has written several books on the topics of anxiety and recovery from sexual abuse. During her free time she enjoys playing tennis, biking, and playing the guitar. She has two grown children and one granddaughter.
